Futures Collegiate Baseball League

FCBL

The Futures League plays in real minor league ballparks: Lowell, Worcester, New Britain, Norwich, Burlington. Seven teams across four New England states since 2011, with a 60-game season that runs late May through early August.

  • Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont
  • Season May 28 to August 9, host family housing, no fee to play
  • Each team's own coaches recruit their roster, plus one open league tryout every May
  • Former affiliated clubs like the Lowell Spinners and Vermont Lake Monsters now play here
The Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) is a collegiate summer baseball league that began play in 2011. It contains seven teams as of the 2026 season, with three active franchises in Massachusetts, two in Connecticut, and one each in New Hampshire and Vermont.
