The son, Alec Allred, is a professional baseball player working his way through independent minor league baseball, with his dad, Reggie Allred, being his biggest supporter and an entrepreneur. In late summer of 2018, Alec phoned his dad on his way back home to North Carolina from his team in Michigan.
